Parish Council

The Parish Council is composed of four wards Summerlands Ward (3 councillors) Brimsmore Ward (2 councillors) Combe Ward (3 councillors) and Lyde Ward (7 councillors)

The Parish Council generally meets monthly on the third Wednesday of the month except for the month of August, when there is no parish council meeting.

There are eight Parish Noticeboards – Outside the play area in Johnson Park, near the bus shelter in Greenwood Road, next to the bus shelter at Hundredstone, Mudford Road, outside the shop in Cavalier Way, on the small green in the centre of the Brimsmore Estate, outside the Church Hall in Yeovil Marsh and near the play area above Shackleton Road and one on the Circus Area in Wyndham Park. Agendas, notices and the addresses and telephone numbers of the Councillors and the Clerk are displayed on the Noticeboards. The Clerk’s telephone number is also displayed on the play area sign in Johnson Park play area and on the Parish Council’s allotment gate at Yeovil Marsh.

The Parish owns an allotment field with 26 allotments and an area of redundant allotment land rented out to grazing.

There is one play area that the Parish Council maintains at Johnson Park – however the land is owned by Yeovil Sports Club.
